Lamp Installation Method

Wall Mounting

Antibacterial Lamp - Wall Mounting
The lamps can be mounted to walls using two bolts (by drilling) on a horizontal plane.
It is also possible to mount lamps onto the plaster wall using two screwbotls built-in dowel pin.
The lamps can be fixed to the wall using bolts with washer and M6 screw nut and by using wrenches.
The exterior power cord can be connected to the power source in the room.
The lamp body (1) may be fixed in the position desired.

This bactericidal lamp has the advantage that it may be used in inhabited rooms and the present persons do not need special protective equipment. Taking into account that the lamps come equipped with orientation and UV radiation reflection devices, they may be installed in two ways:

  1. Upward Orientation Reflector Installing, to disinfect air in high parts of a room. The lamps equipped with reflectors must be oriented so as not to emit radiation under the horizontal line. The lamp must be installed 2m above the ground. Thus the air under the lamp is free from the effect of direct ultraviolet radiation. The air above the horizontal line (above 2m), undergoing direct UV radiation, will be permanently disinfected.

Without artificial ventilation, the natural convection of air at room temperature results in a movement of about 1,5 - 1,8 m3/min. This movement results in a circulation of air between the upper and lower areas of the room, so that the air will be disinfected progressively.
This process reduces the air total contamination to a fraction of what it was before turning the UV lamp on.
A further application of this method of disinfection is the prevention of microorganism transmission through the air passing through adjacent rooms by installing lamps above the doors or in between them.

  2. Downward Orientation Reflector Installing, to disinfect lower areas of a room.
This method is recommended to be used in those cases when it is important that the air in the entire room, from the ground up, to be disinfected as much as possible.
In this case, the anti-bacterial lamps (in addition to the lamps pointed to disinfect the air in upper areas), should have their reflectors pointed downwards and installed about 60 cm above the floor.
A third application is the disinfection of the floor, when the air in this specific area contains dust and germs and undergoes constant circulation (e.g. waiting rooms, corridors).

Ceiling Installation

  • - In this case, the antibacterial lamp body (1) should be mounted on the ceiling (as a chandelier) using the rod supporter (3) and a hook to the other end. The rod will be screwed on the lamp.
  • - The electric cord will pass through the rod and then will be connected to the power source. It is compulsory to install the switch on the modulation conductor and to connect the lamp to the protection null.

Mobile Stand Installation

  • The antibacterial lamp will be connected to a power supply by introducing the power strip in the plug (with protection contact) and the switch activation (5). The lamp must emit a constant bluish light without interruption or palpitations.
  • The tripod allows the lamp to be used in different rooms and to be rotated so as to emit radiation in any direction.

Observations: All lamps come with a base that allows for approximately 240 degrees of rotation and the possibility to point the UV radiation in any direction. Moreover, since the lamp's radiation can be directed towards walls or ceilings, it is possible to use it in the presence of staff.
